Great for beginners

It’s has enlightened my reading of the psalms in ways I didn’t expect. The writing style is Simple, succinct and informative. It makes a apparent the need to pray with the psalms daily.

I'm glad you are adding more titles to the e-book catalog. I recently bought Reclaiming the Atonement by Patrick Henry Reardon in hard cover so my own personal library is beginning to take shape.

A clear explanation of the Psalter

I find the Psalter hard to read. I have the Orthodox Study Bible and although it offers a great starting point, I was looking for more. I felt that if St. John Chrysostom advises the psalter to be read daily, it warrants my effort to understand that which I read. Fr. Reardon's book helps me achieve just that. It takes each psalm and talks about "the hidden things". I have a copy of the psalter and am presently making margin notes in line with the comments in this book. It is the most comprehensive and yet single book discussion I have found. It never occurred to me to view the Psalter as the battle hymns for the Church Militant (the Orthodox Church in this world) and am grateful for the change of perspective.
