The Gospel of John vigorously witnesses to Jesus, striving to persuade the hearts and minds of the undecided that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and the only source of eternal life. St. John, as one of the Twelve and a witness to Christ's glory, sets his Gospel in a cosmic context, revealing Christ as the eternal Light of God, the Truth and voice of the Father, the divine Glory shining in the midst of men.

About the Author: Archpriest Lawrence Farley is the pastor of St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church (OCA) in Langley, B.C., Canada. He received his B.A. from Trinity College, Toronto, and his M.Div. from Wycliffe College, Toronto. A former Anglican priest, he converted to Orthodoxy in 1985 and studied for two years at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Seminary in Pennsylvania.
